Many Point of Sale systems are so locked
down by a controlling franchisor that all you can do is
try to capture data from a receipt printer. For parallel
printers this is not something a simple splitter cable

parallel port printers and capture and convert the
transaction data to serial for easy interface to a DVR.
If you are trying to interface to a

For interfacing to customer pole
display data the DVR may have extraneous "control

software change for your customer's point of sale. VRX
Company comes to the rescue with our VR2004 which can
capture the POS data, strip out unusual "control
characters" and on the VR2004 Serial Out port data
reformatted with with simple CR LF delimiting. Like a
printer but even simpler. You customer gets the
full benefit of the DVR's POS interface and much more
readable inserted text.
